Dar visibilidade para as mulheres cientistas — este é o propósito do Open Box da Ciência. A partir de um levantamento de currículos lattes, foram identificadas as mulheres que são as principais protagonistas em seus campos de pesquisa científica.
Highlighting women scientists — this is the purpose of this project. Based on a survey of lattes curricula, the women who are main protagonists in their fields of scientific research were identified.

O principal gráfico mostra o universo das cientistas com possibilidade de filtrar por campo de pesquisa, região do Brasil, tipo de universidade onde atua. A posição de cada cientista na escala se refere à pontuação que ela recebeu pela metodologia. O tamanho do circulo está relacionado à quantidade de artigos publicados.
The first dataviz shows the universe of mapped women scientists. There are filters to explore the data: field of research, region of Brazil, type of university where they work. Each scientist's position on the scale refers to the score they received based on the methodology. The size of the circle is related to the number of articles published.

A partir deste treemap é possível acessar 500 artigos científicos, os mais relevantes das pesquisadoras mapeadas. É possível filtrar pelas áreas de pesquisa existentes no projeto e também pesquisar por termos.
From this treemap, it's possible to access 500 scientific papers produced by the scientists of the project. It's possible to filter by research areas and there's also a search field.

25 pesquisadoras de cada área ganharam um perfil no website. Algumas delas foram entrevistadas. Achamos muito importante colocar foto de rosto de cada uma delas.
25 researchers from each area were given a profile on the website. Some of them were interviewed. We though it would be very important to show these woman faces to the audience, so we've used a photo of each one.
